Sun Tunnel Repairs in Weston-super-Mare
The right approach starts with checking the roof, ceiling and route between them. For sun tunnel repair in Weston-super-Mare, submit one enquiry to hear from up to four independent specialists, subject to local availability.
Sun tunnel repairs start with finding the source of the fault. Water around a diffuser can come from rain entering at roof level, moisture condensing in the tube or humid room air passing through a poor ceiling seal. Resealing the visible fitting alone may leave the cause untouched.
When homeowners ask for this work in Weston-super-Mare
- Drips, staining or damp insulation near the light tube.
- A cracked collector, loose diffuser or rattling roof fitting.
- Dust, insects or mist inside the diffuser and reduced light output.
From the first survey to finishing the job
- Inspect the roof fitting and ask whether the fault follows rainfall or indoor humidity.
- Check the ceiling air seal, loft insulation and signs of condensation before selecting a repair.
- Replace damaged fittings with compatible parts and repair the roof weathering where appropriate.
- Re-seal tube connections using the specified materials and address gaps in insulation.
- Identify any remaining damp damage and explain how the repair should be monitored.
Rainfall timing is a clue, not a diagnosis. Avoid climbing onto the roof or opening a fitting above electrical equipment. If water is near wiring, keep clear and seek appropriate professional help. A repair cannot be promised until the cause and parts availability are known.
