Local help with sun tunnel replacement in Church Stretton
A dark room or a faulty daylight tube needs advice based on the roof above it. For sun tunnel replacement in Church Stretton, submit one enquiry to hear from up to four independent specialists, subject to local availability.
Replacing a sun tunnel can restore daylight where the collector, tube or diffuser has deteriorated. A compatible modern unit may use the existing opening, but the installer must check its size, roof flashing and surrounding condition rather than assume the swap is straightforward.
Problems and projects to discuss in Church Stretton
- A yellowed or damaged collector is reducing daylight.
- The original diffuser is brittle, discoloured or no longer seals properly.
- You want to improve an old system while other roof work is taking place.
What the specialist may inspect and carry out
- Record the original unit’s make and size and check whether matching components can be sourced.
- Inspect the flashing, roof covering, tube route and any damp ceiling or insulation.
- Explain whether a partial upgrade or a complete replacement makes more sense.
- Remove agreed old components and fit a compatible replacement with new seals and sound flashing.
- Check the joints and leave the room tidy, with any ceiling finishing clearly agreed.
New parts are not universally interchangeable. Mixing different manufacturers or diameters can compromise fit and sealing. Ask which existing components will be retained and how that affects warranty cover.
